Camera-Critters #89

In my Looking at the Sky on Friday post, I posted a photo of the sunset I experienced after being out photographing Snow Geese. So, I thought for this Camera Critters post, I would share with you some of the photos of the Snow Geese. These photos were taken in March of 2008, and, so far, that was the only time I've seen the Snow Geese come here during the migration. Here's hoping for this year!!!

Great shots of the Snow Geese, they are amazing to see in large groups of them.

We're so inundated with Canadian Geese that DON"T migrate. They just live in Wal-Mart parking lot and walk across the highway for fun. I didn't think I'd ever look at a picture of geese and say beautiful but today, I say:

BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful photo. We have a lot of Canada Geese but not so many Snow Geese. I love to hear them call as they fly over.

Misty: Very cool, I thought it was neat when I saw one with the Canada Geese last year.

I don't think I've ever seen such a big group of birds like this. It must have been amazing.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Those skies full of snow geese remind me of my recent visit to Bosque. What a show...you wonder how is it that so many bird flying at the same time don't collide with each other.

really beautiful shots of them in flight, I love to see any group of flying critters go by - they're so free and majestic

It's really great to see such large numbers of large bird flocking together like this. Fifteen years or so ago, I watched a solid ceiling of Canada Geese fly over my head here...a very rare sight since we aren't on the migratory path. I certainly hope you get the chance to see the geese again this season.

Wow, there were so many of them! We have a lot of Canadian geese, but I don't think I've seen these.

Aren't snow geese cool! I love how the whole flock can fly in unison almost like it is all one creature made up of thousands of little parts.
