SOOC Sunday *Seasons Change*

I've decided to try a new Sunday meme. It's called Straight Out Of the Camera (SOOC) Sunday. I think I'm going to really, really enjoy this meme, as the only restrictions are: You take the photo yourself and no photo alterations/manipulations are allowed other than cropping - hence the "Straight Out Of the Camera" part.

I guess I just can't explain why I like the photo I decided to use. Yes, I realize the plant is dead... but it's the truth of the changing of the seasons. It happens... just as the spring season brings new life. When I spotted this plant, it really caught my eye, because of the way the sun was shining through the translucent leaves. I just couldn't help but photograph it. I'm probably the only one who gets something out of this photo (it's not like Blue Advantage) but that's O.K. It caught my eye, and I photographed it. That's what I do.

Thanks for joining in today. I really like your photo; it's one that I would have been tempted by, too.

The bokeh works well with the image.

Hi Misty Dawn,
I've heard of you because you host Camera Critters, and when I clicked on the link to the sight from Fishing Guy's blog, I was hoping it was your blog, and not the official site. Then, it occurred to me to look for your name. Silly me!

I've been participating in CC since spring, I think, or maybe it was last winter. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that, just like SkyWatch has made me more observant of the lovely skies, Camera Critters has caused me to be more intentional in looking for the wildlife in my gardens. I have been blogging for a year, and was already taking photos of the wildlife I saw, but now, I'm looking for critters more so I can take their photos, and am having lots of fun doing it!

I love your photo of the dying plant, by the way. I agree with you that there is beauty in that part of nature, too.
