2009?!?! Already? Seriously?
Wednesday, December 31, 2008

I simply can NOT believe that tomorrow starts a new year! Seriously! Where in the heck did 2008 go? Did I sleep through half of it?
Hubs always tells me, "Just wait until you are 12 years older than you are now, if you really want to think time goes fast."
I always remind him that when I am 12 years older than I am now, HE will still be yet 12 years older ;-) I'm sweet like that.
Anyhow, it is, whether I can believe it or not, New Year's Eve! Hubs and I won't be out partying or watching the ball drop on a television sitting on one of anyone's tv stands, other than our own. We are just going to stay at home to bring in the new year.
I went out yesterday to run a bunch of errands, and I remembered to stop at the store and get some sauerkraut... You know, so we could eat some (YUCK - I only eat a teeny-tiny little bit) and have good luck for 2009. However, I had just taken for granted that we had a roast in the basement freezer to make with the sauerkraut... which, you guessed it, we don't. Oh well, I'm sure we'll have some at the get-together we are going to tomorrow, where we enjoy good company, good food, and good times playing cards.
What will you be doing this evening and tomorrow? Do you have any traditions for celebrating New Year's Eve or New Year's Day? Do you make resolutions?

Happy new year to you we are just going to be playing video games all night hubby is away until tomorrow.
Nice and quiet with my hubby too. Watch my own TV, or even, be in bed!!!
Probably not though, since there are only 35 minutes of 2008 left....(for me)
LOL you are a sweet person Misty!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Misty! I hope 2009 is fantastic for you!
My husband is only 4 years older than I am, but I don't let him forget it, either.
We're sitting here watching a Bruce Willis movie. We're real exciting!
I love sauerkraut. I didn't know you're supposed to eat it for good luck on new years. It's really good mixed in mashed potatoes or with hot dogs. Never heard of it with roast, either. We did have roast for dinner. I guess you could have come over and shared?
Misty,
thanks for the lovely comment of critters #38 I am sorry this is so late, I did not see it in the moderation section till just now.
Happy New Year.
Misty: I wish for you a wonderful 2009, and hope all your dreams come true.
