Sky Watch Friday

(c) Misty DawnS

For some reason, every weekend, when I finally get to head out for walks during the day, I am drawn to this line of hay bales. I don't know if it is the varying colors on the net wrap around the bales contrasting with the colors of the sky, field of beans, and ditch, or what it is, but I just feel drawn to take a photo from this same spot every week. I liked the above shot in particular because the way the clouds are in the sky seems to follow along with the line of stacked hay bales. I probably sound a little weird, but oh well. hehe

I learned something today. I have never seen rolls of hay and straw or straw laid out like this is a line and other than creating a fence that will disappear once eaten, I think it is a good idea.

Do you guys wrap your hay/straw bales in white plastic? They look like giant marshmellows that way. LOL

Nice photos. The first one almost looks like a painting.

How fun to see clouds in YOUR part of the world too with those intriguing round bales of hay.
Hugs and blessings,

Love the pics of the hay "fence". I've never seen it laid out like that. They are usually scattered along the fields.

I have never seen them lined up this way, either... great shots!

For some reason this is the first year that I am really, really drawn to the round bales. For the longest time I missed the square bails.

I think I would have been drawn to this setting also.

My brother and I have certain shots we take over and over...just tiny differences in the weather/time of year.

I usually see bales in the fields as we drive by, and I really want to stop and take pictures. There really is something about them.

I'm happy to see some blue skies in your part of the country.

Great shot - cotton candy clouds, blue skies and lots of hay - great shot. If you're weird, I am too. I love the stacks of rolled hay bales around here. One of the things I like best is that it means autumn is right around the corner.

Your photos of the hay bales are beautiful! And the sky above is so pretty. A wonderful scene of lovely colors.

Forget about the sky, those hay rolls have me drooling. We're in our fifth year of drought and hay is hard and expensive to come by. We had none to cut for 4 years now,
so please forgive my inattention to the sky.

I like them, too. They add interest to the picture. I like the way the wrapping shines.

This could have been taken near my place! Haying is in full swing again and I have started sneezing again ... I felt one start just as I looked at all these bales of hay! lol

Thanks for your visit and comments on my SWF. Sorry to be so late making my visits ~ it was a hectic weekend here!
