(c) Misty DawnSThis butterfly photo is another product from my lunches at the park. I really appreciated that this Swallowtail butterfly took the time to pose and reveal all of it's beautiful colors for me to capture. I see many of these butterflies, and you would think that I would be tired of them by now. I'm not, though, because I love the striking contrast of their colors against the black.
In fact, the temperature is supposed to get up to 78 degrees fahrenheit today, and it is supposed to be a glorious day. So, I'm getting ready for a walk :-)
I may not get to visit some of your CC post until tomorrow, because we are going to a belated Mother's Day cook out/get together this evening.

I love the little bit of blue on the bottom of the wings. Sorry, but I'm going to do my famous rain dance so your cookout will be canceled and you can spend the night talking to me online. hehehe! Love Ya Dork!

Beautiful butterfly
I'm envious because my butterflies close up on me when I go to photograph them! what a beauty you captured here. Now the ticks: we need Advantage for Humans. Safe and effective. DEET is no good for me. Just bundle up and strip off all clothes in the mudroom and put them right in the washing machine. That's what I do and I have no idea if it does any good. This is a bad year up here for ticks. Even with Advantage the dogs are coming home with them.
What a splenidid specimen, not to mention the lucky *catch*. Very nice eye candy.
