Leaving My Mark

For quite some time, I've been trying to come up with a logo for my photographs. I didn't want anything big or intrusive which would take away from the photos. Yet, I also wanted something that would be versatile and could work as both a watermark logo on my photos and also as an attractive logo on business cards.

I think that after the fun and productive experience I just had experimenting with creating a logo design, I may have finally found 'my mark'.

I visited the website of LogoYes, and I had a blast. First, there were three different styles to choose from, and, since my photography is creative, I chose "Flair". Then came the toughest decision. I had to choose what symbol I wanted to use. The process of applying the symbol was not difficult at all, but, you see, they have an extensive selection of symbols to choose from, and I just couldn't decide. Did I want a pen to look as if it were signing my name? Or, should a use a camera since this is to promote my photography? Well, I chose neither of those. Instead, I chose a symbol which I think represents me and my personality and helps my 'leave my mark' in a fun and creative style. Then, I entered my name and customized both the symbol and the name with color, placement, and sizing.

So - What do you think?
I think the paw-print is really fitting for me, since everyone who knows me knows I'm a dog lover. Of course, my name just had to be purple! In just five easy steps I was able to create something I had been procrastinating on, because of the time I thought it would take.

Check out the business cards I could have printed with my logo on them. Yet, here we go again with my indecisiveness. Which one do you like?
I was very impressed with the way they matched the logo to the card. The cards automatically contained colors to match the colors I had chosen for my logo. These were not the only cards to choose from either. There were several more, but I posted pictures of these, because these two are my favorites.

I'm definitely pleased with the results. I think these cards look attractive, professional, and creative! So, which one do you like best?

How cool!! I've been trying to come up with some logo ideas too, and this looks like a great place to find some (much needed) help! Thanks!

I vote for the first business card. They're both nice, but, being a purple lover, I like that there's lots of it in #1! Good job, Misty! :-)

I like the first one.

And by the way, I love the new look to your blog...I know I'm a bit late in the game, but this is the first time I actually had time to stop by since you've changed it.

OK ... here's the old dinosaur's response.

The card that "Is You" ... that you will have no impulse to say "let me explain it to you", but will, instead hand it to whomever ... and they now have "You" represented in their hand. No further comment or explanation necessary to them.

"This is how I want you to perceive me." For that is the message of a card (even if the "real" You is secretly more flamboyant, artsy, or whatever you think might not be as "businesslike."

Don't forget to reveal your final choice to us [please].

Oooh I didn't know you had this blog, and if I did, I forget! lol. Very pretty here. :)

On the cards though, I really like the first one, for me it makes more sense then the second one.

I have been talking to my husband about watermarks for the last couple of weeks. I like your choice. I think I like the second card best. What a wonderful idea.

I have to say the Second one...simply for the ease of reading the information on the card. Some people have a hard time reading small print through color. I love the first one, but for business, I say the second one.. Have fun today! And I like the program you did these with!

I like the 2nd one. It's fantastic you're making progress in your path. I'll be lucky if I make it through this quarter due to some recent difficulties, but I keep pluggin' along. Maybe someday I'll have as much to show for all of my work toward my goal as you have now. Keep goin'! :)
